Library Visit

 Third Class accompanied Senior Infants to the library. The girls really enjoyed reading to the Senior Infants.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics for Ms. Galligan's 3rd Class. Students are working on backbends, leg lifts and not to forget the splits!!!

 

The Heat is On

Ms Burns’ Third Class has been studying Heat in Science. They recorded the temperature both inside and outside over the period of a week. They measured the time taken for various solids to change into a liquid. They investigated what happens to air when it is heated. They discovered that metal was the best conductor of heat. They also planted seeds and made a mini greenhouse. Finally, they melted chocolate to make Rice Krispie buns which were delicious.

Sunrise

The sun may not be shining outside but it certainly is in Ms Burns' class. We created some beautiful images of a spring sunrise.
